This International Women’s Day, two Amsterdam-based FLINTA collectives, LAWAAI and Magenta, are joining forces to shake up Amsterdam and celebrate women in electronic music. On this special occasion, the founders of both projects have invited guests to join them for unique b2b DJ sets. Each duo promises a blend of styles and energy that will keep the dance floor buzzing all night long.

Cooee is an immersive and vibrant circus show that takes audiences on an adventure through Australia's unique culture and climate. Inspired by the creator's nostalgia for their homeland, the show uses Australian wildlife as metaphors for circus acts—lounging koalas as aerialists, acrobatic kangaroos, and hand-balancing lizards. 

Cooee invites audiences to explore Australia's rich diversity while dispelling fears of its notorious creatures. The title reflects the artist's journey to reconnect with their roots after years abroad and refers to a traditional long-distance call, once used by Aboriginal people to communicate across vast landscapes.

De 5e ZAM Nelson Mandela Lezing wordt dit jaar uitgesproken door de doorgewinterde Keniaanse onderzoeksjournalist John-Allan Namu. De groeiende Gen Z protestbewegingen in zijn land en elders op het continent en het perspectief van een nieuwe gelijkwaardige relatie tussen Europa en Afrika vormen thema's in zijn lezing. Met het programma maakt ZAM Magazine een vuist tegen discriminatie en haatzaaierij, oorlogsgeweld en onderdrukking en een manifestatie van solidariteit.

John-Allan Namu (1983) geeft in Naïrobi leiding aan Africa Uncensored (AU). In de bijna 10 jaar van zijn bestaan bracht dit in 2015 opgerichte mediaplatform tal van schandalen van machtsmisbruik en zelfverrijking door de Keniaanse autoriteiten aan het licht. Voor zijn werk is Namu al diverse keren onderscheiden. 35 jaar na Nelson Mandela’s vrijlating in februari 1990 biedt ZAM een podium aan een ontmoeting tussen mensen uit alle geledingen van de samenleving. Onze zoektocht naar de betekenis van Mandela’s doen en denken voor het hier en nu wint nog aan betekenis door actuele, vaak zeer zorgwekkende ontwikkelingen.
